Greetings Everyone,
Just a brief weekly update about what we have done and have coming up in Reading and ELA. In Reading class, are finishing up Lesson 7 and will begin Lesson 8 in our Florida Ready Workbooks this week. After Lesson 9, we will have our Unit 2 Test. I will update when we get closer. This will be on Lessons 6-9. I will post a review on this blog, but remember since so much of the reading class is done in class, the student's attendance and attention in class is crucial to do well on these assessments. In addition, please remember student's homework for Reading class is 30 minutes of free reading and a 1 page journal entry nightly. This should be done Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights and will be checked randomly without notice to ensure it is being kept up with. In ELA class, we will continue our Collections Unit on Culture and Heritage. We have a quiz on Monday on "The Latehomecomer" and will begin another reading immediately after. This can be reviewed and studied at home by using the username and password sent home for Collections and going to https://my.hrw.com Homework for ELA is posted on this blog when and if it is assigned. Please remember you can stay up to date with student grades by logging into Focus (Parent Portal). If you do not already have access, please contact the office for paperwork and log in information for you student. Ms. Hayes Good Morning,
