Greetings, I hope you all enjoyed your Fall Break! The year is flying by and I want to bring you a brief weekly update about what we have going on in Reading and ELA. In Reading class, we are beginning Unit 3; Lesson 11 in our Florida Ready Workbooks. Please remember since so much of the reading class is done in class, the student's attendance and attention in class is crucial to do well in this class. In addition, please remember student's homework for Reading class is 30 minutes of free reading and a 1 page journal entry nightly. This should be done Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights and will be checked randomly without notice to ensure it is being kept up with. In ELA class, we begin working on our Collections 2 Unit on The Thrill of Horror. This can be reviewed and studied at home by using the username and password sent home for Collections and going to https://my.hrw.com There are also usernames and passwords for use posted on this blog if you scroll back. Please remember you can stay up to date with student grades by logging into Focus (Parent Portal). If you do not already have access, please contact the office for paperwork and log in information for you student. The holidays are here and Imagine LWR Winter Wonderland is on Friday, 12/2 from 4-8. Hope to see you all there. Ms. Hayes Comments are closed.
